๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‡๐ŸŒผHappy World Card Making Day! (WCMD) - Quick invite: Come stamp with me (virtually) today

Oct. 4, 2025

Hey Crafty Friends!

So I've been working (for a long time) on a very long-overdue newsletter. But, not all that surprisingly, it has turned into a mammoth document (of nearly 3000 words... yikes!), and it even takes ME too long to read through it - just to proofread it! So of course I know YOU wouldn't likely have to time to read it if it were to randomly land in your inbox.
โ€‹
So I've had to go back to the drawing board. Here's the thing: the content is valuable; I want to share it with you, of course. Topics I've included cover new upcoming programs and opportunities that may appeal to you, fun new products, several tutorials, templates & tips that I've included for ya, a way to earn free stamps, and so forth...

But nonetheless, it's too much to deliver (or absorb) all at once. So my revised plan is to chop up that enormous newsletter and send it to you in "Chapters" (probably topic-by-topic)... over the upcoming days.

But first, the most timely topic in there has been about World Card Making Day, which is today (always the first Saturday of October). And on that day, I usually open up a way for you to participate in making cards with me... virtually. Long ago, we used Facebook, but in more recent years I've used my virtual classroom (which I also sometimes refer to as my virtual stamping table). So if you'll be acknowledging World Card Making Day yourself today, please come join me in my virtual classroom where we can chat together while we create our own cards.
โ€‹
The format is totally informal; "come and go" as your schedule permits. I'll NOT be showing or demonstrating "how to" make any specific thing, as I'll be working on creating my own cards. But I'll have the classroom open from about 10:00 am today (Pacific Time) - until probably around 5 or 6 pm (Pacific Time). Now, since I'll be moving around as I work on my cards (and may even head to the kitchen for something to eat from time to time), I may not be present in front of the screen at all moments of the day. But I'll stay logged in throughout that time, and will let you in as soon as I notice you're waiting to join.
โ€‹
โ€‹
Here's how to join me:

  1. Gather up your own card-making supplies that you'd like to work with today.
  2. Make sure you have a webcam (with audio & video), a solid internet connection, and a Chromium-Based browser on your device. (Examples include Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, or similar.) If you have an Apple device, its native browser will likely not work, but you can install one of the above browsers and use that. (But please don't ask me *how* to do that; I intentionally do NOT live in the Apple world, lol.) If you have a headset, you might want to bring it along in case we encounter feedback, which headset use may remedy.
  3. Then once you've got all of those parameters set up and ready, just click the button below and it will link you directly to my classroom. Follow the simple instructions that will appear on the screen, and as soon as I notice you waiting, I'll admit you! Easy-peasy!

โ€‹
Now, I realize some people get really nervous about anything that has the word "virtual" attached to it. You've likely read or heard of plenty of scary stories... be they true or not. And if you've used Zoom in the past, please know that this is
NOT Zoom. The 2-way streaming service I use is very private and doesn't support massive numbers of people. Random people cannot just pop in; I have full control over who I admit. In fact, the plan I have doesn't even allow more than 8 or 10 or so on at a time - maximum. So we won't have an overwhelming attendance... for ANY of my virtual events! They will always remain much more intimate, as I prefer. Best of all, there's NO software you have to download, or update, or install to your device; simply click the link I'll provide - at the time you wish to log in. Once you get through the "nervous" part the first time, I promise... it won't be that bad! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I invite you to give it a try and come stamp & chat with me!

12-8-2025 Hey Paper Dreamers! Well, I just spent the past 4 days composing my latest newsletter, but after ALL that, technology got the best of me, and the whole thing wouldn't render properly. (Meaning it wouldn't send in the format humans actually read.) So I've ended up shortening my original version and will include about half the topics here (the most time-sensitive stuff), and will follow up within the next few days with the remainder of my intended content. But first, does anyone else...

April 12, 2025 Happy April, Friends! Can you believe we're just days away from the exciting updates I've been jabbering about for at least 6 months?!? Ready to explore and catch up with what's movin' and shakin' in Stampin' Up!ยฎ World these days? Well, I've got a bunch of "good news" & some other "important" news. ๐Ÿ˜‰ So find a comfortable chair, a glass of your favorite beverage, and let's dig into the fun stuff first... Pardon our dust while we're building! The long-promised, upgraded...
